Transparent Armor

Transparent Armor is a reinforced glass developed for use where vision and protection have to coexist — vehicle windows, observation posts, protective panels — combining bullet resistance certified to international ballistic standards with extended fire resistance.

Bullet resistance

Tested and certified to СК 3 under Ukrainian standard ДСТУ 4546:2006, which corresponds to international class BR 5 under EN 1063:1999.

Test parameters:

  • Distance: 10 metres
  • AKM 7.62: 3 shots
  • AK-74 5.45: 3 shots

Fire resistance

The glass has been independently tested for heat resistance and withstands fire at temperatures of up to 600 °C. Hold time depends on glass thickness:

  • 60 mm glass — maintains integrity for more than 2 hours
  • 14 mm glass — holds for at least 14 minutes

Key advantages

  • Dual-rated protection. Certified bullet resistance and validated fire resistance in a single transparent panel — most armoured glass addresses one or the other, not both.
  • Standards alignment. Ukrainian СК 3 / international BR 5 certification means the glass meets specifications recognised across NATO and European procurement.
  • Thickness-tunable performance. Fire-resistance hold time scales predictably with glass thickness, letting integrators trade weight against required hold time for the threat profile they are designing for.
  • Production-grade process. Manufactured using UV-LED-controlled polymerisation of reinforced glass layers — a process that has progressed beyond laboratory feasibility into repeatable production.
